GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY
The first step in making the Mustangs Owner’s Museum a reality took place on July 29-30, 2016 with the Ground Breaking Ceremony.
The Friday Mustang Car Show included over 100 Mustangs, with eight Mustangs on display inside the Cabarrus Arena and three display cases of rare Mustang memorabilia. That same evening, the Banquet attendees enjoyed a little BBQ and a presentation from Giuliano Zuccato, one of the clay modeler’s of the 1964 1/2 Mustang. Giuliano’s stories delighted the crowd, as he was able to bring the Mustang enthusiasts into the room as the first Mustang was modeled. |

On Saturday, despite the heat, over a hundred Mustangs arrived by noon, with many of the attendees looking for their Museum Banner and shade.
At 2PM, Steve Morris, County Commission Chair, started the Ceremony welcoming the Mustang Museum to Cabarrus County, followed by Donna Carpenter, President of Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
After the welcome from county officials, the Ground Breaking Ceremony took place, with the following shovelers tossing dirt-
