Open TRACK EVENT
Thank you for your interest in using your Mustang as Ford intended – Driven!
Here you will find all the information and forms for the open track event being conducted at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. This event is taking place during the Mustang Owner's Museum Grand Opening and 55 Years of Mustang Events April 18-19, 2019.
Please pay close attention to the safety equipment and helmet requirements. All cars will be subject to a pre-event technical inspection before arriving at the track and again at the track. Bring the completed pre-event tech form to the track.
For those of you who have never participated in an open track event, let me take a minute to tell you a little about it. Open track events are neither timed nor competitive. WE ARE NOT RACING. You are allowed to run on the full 2.25 mile road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway which includes approximately 90% of the oval including the front and back stretch chicanes and 8 turns in the infield under close supervision. We have maximum speed limits which are enforced.
